2003 SPONSORSHIP REQUEST

About The Stix

The Texas Stix are a 1st year Central Texas 14 under Division "A" girls fast pitch softball team.  The team was formed as a 10 under team in September 1999 by coaches Jeff Staton and Mark Short.  Team members are from the Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Hutto area.  Please visit the Stix website at http://www.texasstix.org for more information about our team.  The Stix provide young girls with the opportunity to compete in a competitive athletic environment in a family atmosphere.  The Stix are a self-sufficient team funded primarily by the payment of dues by the parents.  The coaches volunteer their time without salary or stipend and are committed to the development of the player’s character, social & athletic skills.  This provides the girls with a foundation to succeed as high school athletes & in college if they choose this route.  More importantly, they are developed as productive citizens of the community.

2002 Recap and 2003 Season

In 2002, this team philosophy resulted in the Stix winning one tournament and qualifying for three national tournaments.  The Stix competed in the AFA National Tournament in Oklahoma City finishing 17th out of 50 teams.  In the fall, the team moved up to 14 under competition finishing second in the Round Rock Turkey Shootout Tournament.  During the upcoming 2003 season, the Stix will play in tournaments in Central Texas and play in Amateur Softball Association (ASA), American Fast pitch Association (AFA), and United States Fast pitch Association (USFA) tournaments held in Dallas and Houston.  The team's goal is to qualify and play in at least one out-of state national tournament.  In 2004, the Stix will move up to 16 under competition to prepare the girls for high school fast pitch softball competition.

How You Can Help

The Stix are currently seeking sponsors for the 2003 season to help the team with uniforms, equipment, and travel expenses.  Maintaining a competitive traveling fast pitch tournament team requires a large commitment (time and financial) from the coaches, girls, and parents.  The Texas Stix pays their way primarily through the payment of dues and fundraising efforts.  Your sponsorship will assist the team to meet its goals and provide an opportunity for the girls to develop their athletic, social and leadership skills.

The Stix offer four levels of support.  You can be a Bronze level sponsor for a minimum donation of $100.  Your name or company information will be listed on our website and you will receive a sponsor plaque with the team picture.  For a donation of $250 or more, you can be a Navy level sponsor.  In addition to the plaque and website listing, your company name will be added to the team sponsor banner displayed outside the dugout during games.  For a donation of $1,000 or more, you will become a Teal level sponsor.  In addition to the plaque, website listing, and listing on the team banner, your company name will appear on the "booster" shirt that the girls and parents wear between games.  The team also offers the Stix Booster Club.  For a minimum donation of only $30, you will receive a Stix Certificate of Appreciation and you will be listed on the team website.  The Stix Booster Club is primarily intended for friends and family members and is a great place to leave a message of support for the team or a Stix player.

If you can help sponsor our team, please fill out and return the attached sponsor form.  The Stix encourage all our families and friends to support our sponsors!
